Welcome to Harbour Care in Dorset

At Harbour Care we provide safe, homely, residential care with structured day care facilities for individuals from the age of 17 years onwards, who have specialist needs.

This includes learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex needs including mental health issues and challenging behaviours. We also have a recognised level of expertise in epilepsy care, and a good reputation for high levels of care in this specialist field.

We currently have 11 homes, all within the Bournemouth and Poole area, ranging in size from 2 to 9 places. Each home is run independently by a fully trained and qualified Home Manager, whilst benefiting from the support of the group.

In addition to residential care, we can also provide tailored residential respite care for just one night, or for longer short term breaks.

Our Outreach and Domiciliary Care services can provide tailored support packages to assist in the care of individuals on a day to day basis, at home or out and about in the community.

Regulation and Control

Each Harbour Care home is independently registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the health and social care regulator for England (formerly CSCI). They regularly inspect each home and these reports are open to the public domain and are available for you to view.

To access the latest CQC reports for our homes, click on 'Our Homes' at the top of the page, and select one of our houses for more details.
